amplimind, a joint venture to accelerate Audi's digital transformation
The amplimind joint venture, launched by Audi and Lufthansa Industry Solutions, focuses on software development, cloud platforms and IT security in enterprise processes. It is a long-term collaboration that fits into the automotive brand's NEXT:IT strategy.
amplimind is the new joint venture created by Audi and Lufthansa Industry Solutions, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group specialized in IT services and with many years of experience in strategic cooperation and in providing software and cloud in different industries. amplimind was founded in July 2022, after obtaining all necessary permits, and will start operations at the end of the year with the aim of accelerating the digital transformation of both Audi AG and the mobility industry.
Software specialists at amplimind focus on agile individual development, integration and management of strategic applications, and consulting services in the fields of IT security and cloud platform development.

Innovation and "Green IT"
A hybrid work model that emphasizes remote work will be applied while pilot projects for collaborative work, exchange, and creativity will be activated in the Munich Airport and Norderstedt headquarters offices.
At amplimind, teams are self-organizing and network-based, working models are flexible, and methods are agile. The entire company is geared towards innovative and sustainable technologies and methods, such as "green IT" and "green coding." At the helm of amplimind will be Nils Büring and Bettina Bernhardt, personalities with a great experience in agile software development, IT project management, and the development of innovative work structures in which employees can unleash their full potential.
With amplimind Audi will systematically advance its NEXT:IT strategy; in fact, the new joint venture aims to further improve the company's performance in the area of software development.
Software development
"In the next few years, expertise in software development will become increasingly important for the digitization of business processes", explains Frank Loydl, Chief Information Officer of Audi AG. Audi intends to deploy more and more resources to develop relevant IT applications and cutting-edge digital projects in-house. "We want to build up and secure the necessary expertise over the long term, together with a strong partner", concludes Loydl.
This joint venture fits into the portfolio of A4nXT GmbH, Audi AG's holding company founded in 2020, which holds shares in young, innovative start-ups and strategic joint ventures. amplimind also complements the services of the joint venture XL2, which is focused on consulting and technology services involving SAP management software.

Lufthansa Industry Solutions
Lufthansa Industry Solutions has more than 25 years of experience in IT technology applied to the automotive industry, particularly in agile software development, artificial intelligence, and program and project management.

We will focus on customized cloud solutions that meet the demanding safety requirements of the automotive industry", explains Jörn Messner, Managing Director of Lufthansa Industry Solutions.
