Mobility of tomorrow: the vision of the Volkswagen Group
All-electric, fully connected and autonomous - that is, the mobility of the future according to the Volkswagen Group. The transition to e-mobility continues steadily, and in parallel, technologies related to digitization and connectivity offer increasing opportunities.
The path taken by the Group is well defined: the goal is the evolution from automaker to software- and data-driven provider of sustainable mobility, which will have its ultimate expression in self-driving vehicles.
A glimpse of the future comes in the form of GEN.TRAVEL, a concept car unveiled in recent months: 100% electric-powered and equipped with Level 5 autonomous driving technology, it is proposed as a versatile and sustainable Mobility-as-a-Service solution, an alternative to short-haul flights that travels on wheels, with great flexibility and zero emissions.
